Salary: circa £35 - £38,000

The Opportunity

An established and growing organisation operating within a complex operational environment is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join its people team on a fixed-term contract to cover a period of maternity leave.This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive HR professional to play a key role in delivering a high-quality HR service across a diverse workforce. Working within a supportive and collaborative team, you will provide practical advice and guidance to managers and employees while contributing to the continuous improvement of people processes and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities
HR Advisory

Provide professional HR advice and support across the full employee life cycle
Support managers with employee relations matters, including absence management, disciplinary and grievance cases
Advise on family-friendly policies and employment legislation
Manage employee queries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
Maintain HR records and systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Produce HR reports and management information to support business decision-making
Prepare correspondence and documentation relating to HR matters
Support continuous improvement initiatives across HR processes and proceduresRecruitment & Onboarding

Assist with end-to-end recruitment activity, including advertising vacancies, screening applications and coordinating interviews
Work closely with hiring managers to support attraction and selection activity
Coordinate offers, contracts and onboarding arrangements
Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
Monitor recruitment activity and maintain accurate records and reporting data
Promote inclusive recruitment practices and equal opportunitiesPolicy & Employee Engagement

Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
Contribute to management guidance materials and self-service resources
Assist with employee engagement initiatives and people-focused projects
Promote best practice and consistency across the organisationDiversity, Equity & Inclusion

Support the delivery of inclusion and employee engagement initiatives
Encourage an inclusive working environment where all employees can thrive
Collaborate with internal stakeholders on programmes that enhance diversity and belongingAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will be an approachable and organised HR professional with experience of providing operational HR support within a fast-paced environment.
You will possess:

Previous experience in a HR Advisor, People Advisor or equivalent role
Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards)
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
A proactive and service-focused approachDesirable

Experience within a multi-site operational, engineering, manufacturing, logistics or project-based environment
