Andy File Associates Limited is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced CIPD-qualified HR Advisor to join a busy healthcare organisation supporting multiple GP practices across Doncaster East PCN and the wider federation.
HR Advisor
Doncaster / Rotherham (Hybrid split across sites)
DN3 four days/ S62 1 day a week
£21.00 per hour | 30 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 9:00am–3:00pm)
Temporary with potential to become permanent
This is a varied generalist HR role supporting over 200 employees across multiple sites, working closely with Practice Managers, senior leaders, and an established HR team.
The Role
You will act as the key HR contact for Doncaster East PCN, providing expert advice across all areas of the employee lifecycle including employee relations, recruitment, workforce planning, compliance, and organisational development.
You’ll be based primarily in Doncaster East GP practices with 1 day per week in Rotherham, supporting a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Advisory & Employee Relations
* Provide day-to-day HR advice to managers and staff across multiple sites
* Manage a full ER caseload including disciplinaries, grievances, capability and absence cases
* Lead workplace investigations in line with ACAS guidelines
* Advise on flexible working requests and policy application
HR Operations & Compliance
* Support onboarding, maternity/paternity processes and occupational health cases
* Ensure HR policies remain compliant with UK employment law and GDPR
* Manage visa/sponsorship processes and maintain compliance records
* Maintain accurate HR systems and documentation
Workforce & Data
* Use HR systems (including HRX) to produce workforce reports and analysis
* Monitor HR metrics including absence, turnover and recruitment trends
* Provide insights and recommendations to senior management
Engagement & Development
* Support staff engagement initiatives and annual staff survey
* Deliver HR updates and guidance to managers
* Promote continuous improvement across HR services
Wellbeing
* Manage Occupational Health referrals and return-to-work plans
* Act as Mental Health First Aider and support wellbeing initiatives
About You
* CIPD Level 5 qualified (essential)
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a generalist HR role
* Strong employee relations and case management experience
* Confident advising managers across multiple sites
* Strong understanding of UK employment law and ACAS processes
* Experience in healthcare/NHS/regulated environments (desirable)
* Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail
* Car driver with access to own vehicle
