Location: Beddington Park Primary School, Croydon
Role: High Level Teaching Assistant
Pay: Paid to Scale
Contract: Full-time – Fixed Term for the Full Academic Year
Start Date: September 2026

The Supply Register is proud to be working in partnership with Step Academy Trust. We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join Beddington Park Primary School on a full-time basis for the academic year, starting in September 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and proactive HLTA who has experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will provide targeted one-to-one support for pupils with additional needs while also working closely with the class teacher to support teaching and learning across the classroom when required.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality one-to-one support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), adapting learning to meet individual needs.
Deliver planned interventions and learning activities to support pupil progress.
Work alongside the class teacher to support the delivery of engaging lessons and classroom activities.
Cover lessons and lead learning when required, in line with the responsibilities of an HLTA.
Promote positive behaviour and help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers and SENCO as appropriate.

Requirements

HLTA qualification - essential.
Previous experience working as an HLTA within a UK primary school.
Proven experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including delivering effective one-to-one support.
Confidence in supporting pupils with a range of additional learning and behavioural needs.
Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
A caring, patient, and flexible approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
