We are recruiting on behalf of Communities Academies Trust for an experienced and passionate Secondary SENCO to join The Polesworth School on a full-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking school where inclusion is at the heart of everything they do. As SENCO, you will play a key leadership role in shaping and developing the school's SEND provision, ensuring every student with additional needs has access to the support, resources and opportunities they need to succeed.
Working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, parents and external agencies, you will lead on the strategic development of SEND across the school while ensuring statutory responsibilities are met and high-quality provision is in place for all learners.
We're looking for someone who has:
Previous experience working as a Secondary SENCO (essential)
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
The National Professional Qualification (NPQ) for SENCO, or be working towards achieving it
A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
A collaborative approach and the ability to build positive relationships
A genuine passion for improving outcomes for students with additional needs
