Hours: 28 hours per week (Monday to Thursday, 09:00 – 17:00)
Band: Band 7 Equivalent
Salary: £35ph Umbrella rate

About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join a leading private healthcare provider in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly regarded multidisciplinary team, delivering patient-centred clinical pharmacy services across a range of medical and surgical specialties.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting safe and effective medicines management, providing expert clinical advice, and contributing to the ongoing development of pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Pharmacy Services
* Deliver a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service across designated wards.
* Work across a variety of specialties, including:
* Renal
* Urology
* Orthopaedic & Spinal Surgery
* Colorectal Surgery
* Gastroenterology
* Plastics & Reconstructive Surgery
* Perform medicine optimisation on admission and discharge.
* Facilitate timely patient discharges and continuity of care.
* Provide evidence-based medicine information and education to patients and healthcare professionals.
* Promote the safe, effective, and economical use of medicines.
* Participate in clinical audits and medicines management initiatives.
* Support the induction and development of pharmacists and pharmacy staff.
Dispensary Support
* Validate prescriptions and ensure compliance with local policies and best practices.
* Provide clinical advice regarding the use.
* Undertake final accuracy checking of dispensed medicines.
* Report medication incidents and near misses.
* Participate in dispensary audits and quality improvement activities.
Experience
* Minimum 2 years post-registration experience within a UK hospital pharmacy.
* Completion of comprehensive hospital pharmacy rotations.
* Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
* Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
* Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy Practice or equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Skills
* Strong knowledge of current medicines management practices and national guidance.
* Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong problem-solving abilities.
* IT literate with intermediate computer skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a busy clinical environment.
