Salary: £35ph Umbrella rate
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday – Sunday on a rota basis

About Us
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic Pharmacy team in Central London.
As Lead Pharmacy Technician, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of our dispensary services, leading a team of Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants to deliver a safe, efficient and high-quality service.
The Role
You will
* Lead and coordinate the daily operation of the dispensary service.
* Supervise and support Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants.
* Ensure the safe, accurate and timely dispensing of medicines.
* Undertake final accuracy checking of dispensed prescriptions (ACPT qualified).
* Manage dispensary stock control, controlled drugs and medication governance processes.
* Investigate dispensing incidents and support service improvements.
* Lead staff training, induction, mentorship, and professional development.
* Support recruitment, appraisals, performance management and workforce planning.
* Deputise for the Dispensary & Distribution Manager when required.
About You
Essential Requirements
* Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician.
* BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences (or equivalent).
* Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification.
* Minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience within a hospital pharmacy setting.
* At least 2 years' supervisory or management experience.
* Experience developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
* Strong understanding of medicines legislation, governance, and risk management.
* Desirable
* First Line Management qualification.
* Educational/Practice Supervisor qualification.
* ACPT Facilitator qualification.
* Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training.
* Audit and project management experience.
* Experience using Meditech.
