Are you ready to step into a pivotal leadership role as a Head of Strategic Asset Management, reporting directly into a Director and leading multiple high-impact services? As Head of Strategic Asset Management, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio spanning Asset Management, Building Safety, and Energy & Renewables - driving strategy, influencing senior stakeholders, and ensuring long-term value across a complex property estate. This is a rare opportunity for a Head of Strategic Asset Management to shape investment strategy, lead transformation, and deliver measurable outcomes for residents and stakeholders.
You will operate at the heart of strategic decision-making, leading the delivery of asset management strategies, overseeing compliance and safety functions, and ensuring services align with long-term financial planning and regulatory expectations. Your Role as Head of Strategic Asset Management:
Lead strategic asset management, shaping long-term investment and performance outcomes across property portfolios
Drive building safety and compliance, ensuring statutory and regulatory standards are consistently met
Deliver data-led insights, using performance analysis to influence planning and decision-making
Oversee budget planning and HRA business strategy, aligning financial resources with organisational priorities
Influence and engage senior stakeholders, representing the service at executive level and beyond
Carry out reviews of the Council’s current asset management operationsYour Experience as Head of Strategic Asset Management:
Strong senior leadership experience across asset management or property services
Proven ability to develop and implement strategy, driving efficiencies and service improvements
Expertise in data analysis and forward planning, translating insight into action
Demonstrated capability in stakeholder engagement and influencing, across complex environments
