The Opportunity

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a QA Technician to join a growing food manufacturing business at an exciting stage of its journey.

The company has recently invested in a modern, future-focused production facility and is continuing to strengthen its technical and quality functions ahead of major customer and certification audits later this year. This role offers the chance to be part of a business that is investing heavily in quality, food safety, people, and long-term growth.

Working closely with an experienced and highly supportive Technical Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining product quality, driving standards across the factory, and ensuring the site remains audit-ready at all times.

This position would suit someone with previous factory-based food manufacturing experience who is looking to develop their career within Quality Assurance.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine quality checks throughout production to ensure products meet food safety, quality, and customer requirements.
Monitor GMP standards across the factory and support continuous improvement activities.
Conduct internal audits and assist with preparation for customer and third-party audits.
Complete environmental monitoring, swabbing, and sampling programmes.
Review incoming raw materials, packaging, and associated documentation.
Raise and investigate non-conformances, supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Monitor allergen controls, hygiene standards, and factory compliance procedures.
Complete daily operational checks including scales, temperatures, and production records.
Support packaging and artwork approval processes where required.
Assist with pest control, traceability exercises, and site compliance activities.
Deliver coaching and guidance to production teams on quality standards and procedures.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure records are audit-ready.About You

We're looking for someone who:

Has experience within a food manufacturing environment.
Has worked in a Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Laboratory Technician, or similar role (or is looking to step up from a junior quality position).
Understands GMP, HACCP, food safety, and quality standards.
Is confident communicating with production and operational teams.
Has strong attention to detail and enjoys being hands-on within a factory environment.
Can work independently while also being a strong team player.
Is proactive, organised, and keen to learn.What's on Offer?
