We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and resilient Class Teacher to join our specialist SEND primary school with complex needs in RM3. This is an exciting opportunity to work with pupils with complex needs, helping them to achieve their individual potential within a supportive and nurturing environment.
Our school caters for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), communication needs, and associated sensory or physical needs. We are committed to providing a personalised curriculum that develops communication, independence, confidence and life skills.
The Role
As a Class Teacher, you will:
Plan and deliver creative, engaging and highly differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of individual pupils.
Create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, families and external professionals.
Assess, monitor and celebrate pupil progress against EHCP outcomes and personalised targets.
Support pupils' communication, emotional regulation and social development.
Contribute to the wider life of the school and promote high expectations for all learners.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has experience teaching primary-aged pupils, preferably within a SEND or specialist setting.
Demonstrates a strong understanding of complex learning needs and inclusive teaching strategies.
Is patient, adaptable and committed to achieving the best outcomes for every child.
Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Is passionate about supporting children with additional needs to thrive.
