Recruiting for an EYFS Teaching Assistant work with reception children who will be starting in reception at a Romford School. As an EYFS Teaching Assistant you will ensure the child's safety, comfort and inclusion within the classroom throughout the school day.

Essentially somebody with empathy, patience and moving and handling skills to support and assist the child with transfers and personal care.

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm (term time only)

EYFS Teaching Assistant:

* To have an understanding of phonics and EYFS curriculum is essential.

* Working alongside the teacher to be a role model and guide for students, to motivate them to achieve.

* Experience and skills to support and work with a child in a wheelchair.

* Assisting with wheelchair transfers, positioning, manoeuvring within the classroom and school environment.

* Helping with accessing resources and materials, ensuring they are within reach for the child.

* Adapting activities to be accessible for the child, such as providing adapted equipment or modifying tasks.

* Working with the child through learning and play, working alongside the parents and teacher to ensure the the child reaches their maximum potential.

* Building intellectual, social, emotional and physical skills of the student whilst promoting enjoyment of learning.

* To provide personal care.

Qualification:

Level 2/3Teaching Assistant , EYFS Teaching Assistant or Care qualification.
