Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications. Higher rates are available for candidates with extensive SEN experience and relevant training. Pay is determined in line with Agency Worker Regulations (AWR), where applicable.
Hours of Work: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Teach Now is working with an inclusive primary school in Lewisham seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH and ADHD across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You'll play a vital role in helping children build confidence, develop positive learning behaviours and achieve their individual goals.
Working alongside experienced teachers and a dedicated SEN team, you'll help create a structured and encouraging learning environment where pupils feel safe, valued and motivated to succeed.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide one-to-one and small group support.
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
• Support pupils with classroom learning and social development.
• Implement personalised support strategies and EHCP targets.
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Promote independence and self-confidence.

Requirements
To be eligible for this role, applicants must have:
• Experience supporting children with SEMH, ADHD or SEND.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Passion for helping children reach their potential.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
