A friendly and supportive primary school in Salford is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. This rewarding opportunity is ideal for an experienced HLTA who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development within a positive and inclusive school environment.
In this Higher Level Teaching Assistant role, you will:
Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of primary year groups in the absence of the class teacher
Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups, including those with SEND and additional learning needs
Help children develop confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning
Work closely with class teachers, SEND staff, and school leaders to support pupil progress and wellbeing
Contribute to a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking to play a key role within a supportive primary school, with opportunities for further professional development and progression.
Requirements
To be considered for this Higher Level Teaching Assistant position, you will:
Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or have relevant experience in a similar role
Have experience working within a primary school setting
Be confident delivering pre-planned lessons across the primary curriculum
Have a good understanding of supporting pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEND
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
Demonstrate strong communication, classroom management, and organisational skills
Have a genuine passion for helping children learn, grow, and succeed
