Workshop Manager

Our client, a reputable dealership in Wickford, Essex, is seeking a highly skilled Workshop Manager to lead and manage their busy workshop department. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals to take the next step in their career, overseeing a team and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

Monday to Friday working hours, 08:00am to 17:30pm

Varied administrative and customer-facing responsibilitiesDuties of a Workshop Manager:

Manage a team of workshop technicians to achieve departmental goals effectively
Implement and maintain efficient workshop procedures and administrative systems
Handle customer vehicle bookings, prepare estimates using Autodata, and keep customers informed on progress
Create invoices from job cards and process payments accurately
Answer inbound calls and handle customer enquiries professionally
Maintain accurate customer records and ensure workshop processes are up-to-date
Support parts procurement and stock control activities
Assist with health and safety compliance and operational duties as requiredRequirements of a Workshop Manager:

Proven experience as a Workshop Controller or Workshop Manager within the motor trade
Strong leadership and team management skills
Good organisational and administrative abilities
Knowledge of workshop processes and strategies to improve efficiency
Excellent communication skills and customer service focus
