Workshop Manager Hinckley (Onsite role 5 days per week) £35,000-£45,000 + benefits + pension + holidays
We're working with a fast-growing manufacturing business to recruit a hands-on Workshop Manager to oversee their production facility and contracted workforce. This is a pivotal hire as the business scales up operations, and a genuine opportunity to shape how the workshop runs from the ground up.
The Role
You'll be on the shop floor every day, ensuring the contracted production workforce is performing, equipment is running efficiently, and manufacturing processes are being followed correctly.
You'll work closely with the production team to ensure people and equipment are operating in parallel with the manufacturing process, keeping output on track while the business scales.
As the operation grows, your remit will extend into Health & Safety, QA/QC and wider operational oversight, so a willingness to roll your sleeves up and work broadly is essential.
What You'll Be Doing
Ensuring manufacturing processes are followed correctly and consistently
Supervising and managing the stores workforce
Monitoring equipment performance and flagging issues promptly
Driving accountability and discipline on the shop floor
Supporting the implementation of new processes in a fast-moving, scaling environment
Contributing to and overseeing H&S and quality activities as the business grows
What We're Looking For
Proven experience supervising or managing a production or manufacturing workforce
A hands-on, practical approach, comfortable being visible and present on the floor
Adaptable and comfortable working in a scaling, changeable environment
Ability to manage a contracted workforce and hold people accountable
Prepared for ambiguity and willing to work broadly beyond a defined remit
Strong communication and people skills

Due to the nature of the business, candidates must be a UK citizen and eligible for security clearance
