Interim Property Director (6-Month Contract)
We are seeking an experienced Interim Property Director to join an established and growing property business during an exciting period of development. This is a strategic contract role for a highly accomplished commercial property professional who can bring fresh thinking, embed industry best practice, strengthen operational processes, and help elevate service delivery across the business.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will review current property management operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement practical, sustainable changes that enhance client experience, operational efficiency, and commercial performance.
Location: Dublin (if not based in Dublin there will be fairly regular travel to Dublin)
Contract: 6 Months
Salary: circa €90,000
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess existing property management operations, identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems, and service delivery.
- Implement industry best practice across commercial property management functions, ensuring consistency and operational excellence.
- Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the property management team, coaching and mentoring colleagues to build capability and confidence.
- Support the development of a high-performance, customer-focused culture centred on delivering exceptional client service.
- Strengthen client relationship management practices and support key client engagements where required.
- Review financial management processes, including budgeting, service charge administration, rent collection, and reporting, recommending and implementing improvements where appropriate.
- Evaluate lease management processes, occupier engagement, rent reviews, and renewals to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Develop and introduce robust operational procedures, governance frameworks, and performance measures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant property legislation, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
- Work with senior leadership to identify opportunities for business improvement, sustainable growth, and long-term operational success.
- Produce clear recommendations and a roadmap that enables the business to continue building on improvements after the contract concludes.
About You
The successful candidate will be an experienced commercial property leader with a track record of driving operational improvement and leading change within property management businesses.
You will have:
- Significant experience in commercial property management at a senior leadership level.
- A proven ability to review operations, challenge existing ways of working, and successfully implement best practice.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills with experience developing high-performing teams.
- Excellent commercial awareness and financial management expertise.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial landlord and tenant legislation and property management compliance.
- Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience leading change, transformation, or business improvement initiatives within a property environment.
- MRICS qualification is desirable but not essential
