Payroll Administrator Opportunity with Established Accountancy Practice

A highly respected and growing accountancy practice in Middlesbrough is looking to recruit an experienced Payroll Administrator to join its expanding payroll team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional looking to manage a portfolio of clients while working within a professional and supportive practice environment. The successful candidate will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing, pension administration, compliance, and client communication across a varied client base.

This role would suit someone with previous experience managing multiple payrolls within either an accountancy practice, payroll bureau, or outsourced payroll environment.

The Role

In this role you will manage a portfolio of payroll clients across multiple sectors, processing end-to-end payroll on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis

You must have experience of handling PAYE processing and HMRC submissions.

You will also manage auto-enrolment pension administration and pension submissions, and also calculate statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP and parental leave.

It will be your responsibility to maintain payroll systems and ensure data accuracy at all times, whilst effectively responding to client queries.

You will be working to strict deadlines, whilst also ensuring complete compliance with payroll legislation, maintaining exceptional accuracy.

Requirements

* Minimum 2 years’ end-to-end payroll experience

* Previous experience within accountancy practice, payroll bureau or outsourced payroll

* Strong knowledge of PAYE procedures and payroll legislation

* Experience managing pensions and auto-enrolment administration

* Confident using payroll software, spreadsheets and payroll systems

* Strong understanding of statutory payments including SSP, SMP and parental leave

* Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills

* Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently

* Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach
