iSQ Recruitment is supporting a leading manufacturing business in Cambridgeshire with the search for an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong background in CNC machinery to take ownership of machine reliability, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement activities within a highly automated precision manufacturing environment.

Working closely with production and engineering teams, you'll play a key role in minimising downtime, improving equipment performance and supporting the long-term reliability of critical machining assets.

Please note: This client does not offer visa sponsorship. Applicants must have full Right to Work in the UK and relevant CNC maintenance experience.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on CNC machining equipment
Carry out planned and preventative maintenance across a range of production machinery
Support machine reliability initiatives and equipment improvement projects
Investigate recurring equipment issues and implement long-term corrective actions
Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment availability and performance
Assist with maintenance planning, asset management and critical spare strategies
Support continuous improvement activities focused on safety, efficiency and reliability
Liaise with equipment manufacturers and specialist service providers when required
Contribute to a proactive maintenance culture across the manufacturing operation
Support operator training and maintenance best practices where appropriate Benefits:

Previous experience maintaining CNC machining equipment within a manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
Experience working with multi-axis machining centres
Knowledge of Fanuc, Haas or similar CNC control systems
Knowledge of reliability improvement, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement techniques
Desirable:

Experience with PLC diagnostics and fault investigation
Exposure to TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen or 5S methodologies
