Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Day Shift)

Location: Shropshire
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Days Only (Monday-Friday)
Sector: Agricultural Manufacturing

About the Company

We are a well-established manufacturer supplying high-quality products to the agricultural industry. Due to continued growth and investment in our production facilities, we are looking to recruit a skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team on a permanent day shift.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern manufacturing environment, supporting production through proactive and reactive maintenance activities while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

The Role

As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a range of manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency across the site.

Key responsibilities include:

Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and site equipment.
Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults.
Responding quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime.
Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects.
Assisting with machinery installations, upgrades, and modifications.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Working closely with production teams to ensure equipment performance and safety standards are maintained.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you should have:

A Level 3 Electrical Qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent).
Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
Experience with PLC fault finding would be advantageous.
Knowledge of conveyors, motors, drives, sensors, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems.
A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
