Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Thetford | Monday–Friday, 40 hrs/week | Shifts: 06:00–14:30 / 14:00–22:30
A busy manufacturing site in Thetford is looking for an electrically-biased Maintenance Engineer to keep operations running at their best. If you're a hands-on engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, this one's worth a look.
The Role
You'll be at the heart of the site's maintenance operation, handling everything from day-to-day planned maintenance to emergency reactive work across a wide variety of machinery and equipment. Your key responsibilities will include:
Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
Delivering planned and preventative maintenance programmes to reduce downtime
Responding to breakdowns quickly to keep production on track
Supporting the installation and commissioning of new equipment
Keeping accurate fault records and service logs
Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site
Working closely with production and engineering teams to spot and solve potential issues before they escalate
What You'll Bring
A solid maintenance engineering background, ideally with relevant qualifications and experience gained in a manufacturing setting. You'll also be:
Mechanically competent - hydraulic or pneumatic knowledge is a bonus
A confident, methodical fault-finder who stays calm under pressure
A clear communicator, equally comfortable on the shop floor or in front of management
Health and safety aware, with relevant electrical, mechanical, or engineering certifications preferred
