Experienced Fabricator
Pay: £29,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our clients manufacturing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, contributing to high-quality projects that meet client specifications. Candidates should possess strong mechanical knowledge and be proficient in welding and fabrication processes, ideally with experience in TIG welding and sheet metal work.
Duties:
* Manufacture and assemble components (large and small)
* Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine fabrication requirements. ESSENTIAL
* Perform MIG welding to a high standard, TIG welding desirable
* Using saw, drills and carry out general fabrication tasks as required
* Cut, shape, and assemble components using appropriate fabrication methods
* Utilise knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety standards at all time
Experience:
* Proven experience in fabrication and welding, with a strong emphasis on MIG welding.
* Working with mild and stainless steel across a range of thicknesses 1.00mm to 25mm
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment within a manufacturing setting
* Bi-metal welding experience
* Experience with sheet metal, marking, rolling, bending and forming materials
* Experience of fabricating a job from scratch - mark out, form, tack, weld and finish to hight standard.
* Good mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks
* Able to work well alone and as part of a team
* Experience with assembly processes is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for specific tasks. This role is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
