We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join a specialists engineering manufacturer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, particularly sheet metal. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Responsibilities
* TIG Welding on aluminium
* Fabrication reading from advanced engineering drawings
* Use hand tools and power tools effectively to prepare materials for welding.
* Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Collaborate with other team members to improve processes and efficiency.
Requirements
* Proven experience TIG welding ideally 3 plus years
* Previous experience working on pressure vessels is essential
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
* Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.
* A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all work performed.
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
The Package
* 12 week temporary to permanent contract
* £16 - £17.50 per hour depending on experience
* Working days 7:30am till 16;30pm
