We are currently seeking an experienced Van Technician to join our client’s respected commercial vehicle team in Carlisle, Cumbria. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals looking to develop their career within a reputable organisation. Our client offers competitive pay structures, ongoing training, and a variety of working patterns tailored to individual preferences.
Benefits of the Van Technician:
Basic salary up to £42,190, with potential earnings of £45,705 OTE
Optional overtime available to maximise earnings
Two-week rota with early and late shifts
One in two Saturday mornings paid at overtime
Access to industry-leading training from day one and beyond
Stable employment with a longstanding commercial vehicle specialist
Opportunities to specialise in vans or progress to HGV work
Supportive environment with a history of successful placementsDuties of the Van Technician:
Inspect and repair vans to DVSA standards, including MOT preparation and presentation
Fault diagnosis using advanced diagnostic equipment
Conduct general mechanical and electrical repairs
Ensure high levels of customer service by maintaining vehicle roadworthiness
Comply with health and safety policies and procedures
Record work completed accurately and efficiently
Assist in maintaining workshop standards and safetyRequirements of the Van Technician:
Level 3 vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent
Proven experience as a Van Technician or Car Technician, with dealership background preferred
Ability to work to high quality standards
Strong team-working skills and a proactive attitude
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Awareness of health and safety regulations
Own set of tools
