The Company

Our client is a specialist manufacturer. Due to growth, they are looking to recruit a Production Manager.

The Role

* You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the production process ensuring products are manufactured efficiently, on time and within budget.

* Duties to include planning production schedules, managing resources (personnel, materials, equipment) and maintaining quality standards.

* You will also work to improve processes, reduce costs and ensure safety.

* Is day shift managing a team of 45.

* You will lead your team and area to successfully deliver your KPI's and drive business performance.

* Coach, develop and lead staff and establish a continuous improvement culture.

* Take full responsibility for the day to day running of a department on shift, ensuring the Health and Safety of all colleagues whilst maintaining and making improvements in all areas.

* Monitor and communicate the site plan, performance KPI's and targets ensuring that all colleagues are striving to achieve the same goal.

The Person

* Will ideally be degree qualified in a related field.

* Previous engineering or manufacturing experience preferred.

* You will have good leadership/team management experience.

* Will have good planning skills.

* You will be IT literate with good analytical skills.

* Will have the ability to manage and prioritise a busy workload.
