This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting people on their recovery journey and thrives in a collaborative, person-centred environment. As a Drug and Alcohol Keyworker, you will play a vital role in delivering frontline support to individuals affected by substance misuse, helping them access the services and guidance they need to achieve positive outcomes.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the duty desk, acting as a key point of contact for service users and partner agencies. Duties will include responding to telephone enquiries, providing advice and guidance on drug and alcohol-related issues, signposting individuals to appropriate services, supporting walk-in enquiries, and handling a variety of general queries. Please note that this position does not involve holding an active caseload.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of substance misuse, addiction, and recovery pathways, alongside previous experience working within a similar setting. You will be confident in engaging with a diverse range of individuals, providing informed advice, and maintaining professional relationships with service users, colleagues, and external stakeholders. Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
