Senior Stress Engineer
£54 per hour | Outside IR35
4-Day Working Week | Hybrid (2 Days Office / 2 Days Remote)
We're recruiting for an experienced Senior Stress Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team working on complex mechanical design projects.
The Role
Produce and review stress calculations and analysis reports.
Carry out classical hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Support design teams with technical guidance and design improvements.
Review subcontractor work and liaise with clients.
Mentor junior engineers and support project delivery.
Requirements
Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
Minimum 5 years' stress analysis experience.
Strong experience with FEA, ANSYS and Mathcad.
Knowledge of BS 2573, BS EN 13001, BS EN 1090 and Structural Eurocodes.
Excellent technical reporting skills.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Desirable:
Chartered Engineer (or working towards).
Nuclear or seismic analysis experience.
Autodesk Inventor experience.
