Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with specialist SEN schools across Portsmouth who are seeking committed Teaching Assistants to join their teams on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs in nurturing, well-supported environments.
About The Role:
Full-time, term-time only.
Short-term and Long-term placements with the opportunity for permanent contracts
Supporting pupils with a range of complex additional needs
Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support
Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
Experience & Skills:
We welcome candidates with experience in:
Autism / Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Complex medical needs or personal care
Manual handling or hoist use
First Aid or medical support (e.g. PEG feeding)
Supporting non-verbal pupils or communication needs
What We’re Looking For:
Availability Monday to Friday (full-time)
Interest in day to day, long-term or permanent opportunities
Experience in SEN, care, or support settings
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
