Job Title: Housekeeper / Maintenance Support Operative
Location: Leeds
Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Pay: £12.71 per hour
Contract: Temporary, 3 months, with potential for extension or permanent role

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Housekeeper / Maintenance Operative to support a 407-bed student accommodation site in Leeds.

This role is primarily focused on housekeeping duties, ensuring all communal areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation. You will also provide occasional support to the site Caretaker with basic maintenance tasks.

Housekeeping Duties:

Cleaning and maintaining communal areas within a large student accommodation site
Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, shared living spaces, gym, and cinema room
Maintaining cleanliness of roof terraces and other shared areas
Ensuring high standards of hygiene, safety, and presentation
Reporting any maintenance or health & safety issues promptly
Assisting the Caretaker with basic maintenance tasks, including:

Painting and touch-up work
Changing spotlights and light fittings
Unblocking drains
General site upkeep and minor repairs
Experience:

Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or facilities work desirable
Practical, hands-on approach to tasks
Basic DIY or maintenance skills an advantage
Able to work independently and manage workload
Reliable, punctual, and detail-focused
Comfortable working in a busy student accommodation environment
