Diagnostic Vehicle Technician

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Technician to join our client's dynamic team in Fareham, Hampshire. The role of Diagnostic Technician requires an experienced professional confident in diagnosing complex faults and working on high-end, sports, and performance vehicles. Our client is looking for a Diagnostic Technician who can take ownership of diagnostic tasks from start to finish, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.

Benefits for the successful Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:

Competitive salary between £30,000 and £40,000 per annum, DOE
Standard working hours Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, including a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks
1-in-3 Saturday rota, working 09:00 to 13:00

Conduct detailed fault finding and electrical diagnosis on a wide range of vehicles
Support the workshop team by providing expert diagnostic advice and assistance
Take ownership of vehicles from diagnosis through to repair, ensuring high quality standards
Work on a variety of marques, including sports, prestige, and high-performance cars
Assist and support less experienced technicians to enhance team knowledge and skills
Maintain organisation, communication, and safety standards within the workshopRequirements for the Diagnostic Vehicle Technician positon:

Proven experience as a Senior Technician, Lead Technician, or equivalent role
Strong diagnostic skills, particularly in electrical and mechanical systems
Experience working on high-performance, prestige, or sports vehicles
Ability to work confidently and independently with minimal supervision
Methodical, accurate, and quality-focused approach
Leadership qualities with a supportive attitude towards team members
