Diagnostic Vehicle Technician – Farnborough
Our reputable automotive client based in Farnborough is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Vehicle Technician to join their established dealership group. This is a full-time, permanent role ideal for experienced technicians passionate about automotive diagnostics and ready to work with cutting-edge technology. The Diagnostic Vehicle Technician will contribute to a professional team focused on delivering high standards of service.
Benefits:
Basic salary of £41,000 per annum, with potential to earn up to £50,000 with bonus and overtime
Ongoing manufacturer-accredited training programmes, including hybrid and electric vehicle courses
Generous bonus structure and overtime opportunities
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30 am – 5.00 pm, with 1 in 3 Saturday mornings on a rota
Modern workshop facilities provided
Supportive management dedicated to your career development
Opportunities for career progression within a well-established dealer groupDuties of the Diagnostic Vehicle Technician:
Conduct vehicle health checks and diagnostic assessments using the latest technology tools
Perform routine servicing, identify faults, and recommend necessary repairs
Complete pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
Fit accessories and additional customer-requested modifications
Carry out minor electrical and mechanical repairs, warranty jobs, and component replacements
Road test vehicles to verify faults are resolved
Maintain accurate and detailed vehicle service documentation
Assist in identifying further repair requirements for customer vehicles
Support the team in delivering excellent customer service and high-quality workmanshipRequirements:
Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic, ideally within a dealership or independent garage
Full UK driving licence
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in automotive technology
Strong diagnostic skills in electrical and mechanical systems
Self-motivated with a desire for continuous professional development
Ability to work efficiently while adhering to manufacturer guidelines
