Service Care Solutions are working alongside a well-established construction and property services organisation to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to play a key role in delivering projects valued up to £5 million, whilst supporting business growth across refurbishment and new build schemes.
The successful candidate will take ownership of both estimating and quantity surveying duties, managing the commercial lifecycle of projects from tender through to final account, whilst working closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Prepare and manage tenders, cost estimates, and Bills of Quantities for projects up to £5 million.
Produce accurate Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), financial forecasts, and commercial reports.
Coordinate bid submissions, ensuring they are compliant, competitive, and delivered to deadlines.
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve best value.
Prepare interim applications, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
Monitor project costs, identify commercial risks, and maximise opportunities.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
Support continuous business improvement whilst maintaining high Health & Safety and environmental standards.Requirements
HNC, HND or Degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor and/or Estimator within refurbishment and new build projects.
Strong knowledge of tendering, procurement, estimating, and commercial management.
Experience managing CVRs, financial reporting, and project forecasting.
Good understanding of NEC and JCT contracts.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
CSCS Card.
Full UK Driving Licence.
