Cornwall | Permanent | Full-Time

£60,000 – £65,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits

Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take ownership of a prestigious construction projects in the Cornwall region?

We are working with a well-established and growing construction contractor to recruit an Experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of a portfolio is high end schemes. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive business with a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects across the South West.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the commercial management of at least 2 projects concurrently

* Manage project costs, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow

* Oversee procurement activities and subcontractor appointments

* Prepare and negotiate subcontract agreements and contract documentation

* Manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations, and final accounts

* Produce accurate monthly cost and value reports for senior management

* Prepare and submit applications for payment in line with contract requirements

* Monitor and manage change control procedures

* Identify commercial risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation strategies where necessary

* Support project delivery teams to achieve programme and financial objectives

* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners

* Mentor and support junior commercial team members

Essential Requirements

* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Quantity Surveyor ready to step up

* Experience delivering new build construction projects, preferably high end

* Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes

* Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills

* Strong reporting, forecasting, and financial management abilities

* Full UK Driving Licence
