Vehicle Technician | Engine Specialist for Fleet Workshop
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established fleet company in Wimbledon for a Vehicle Technician to join a busy, modern workshop. This is a specialist engine role within a fast-paced fleet environment, supporting a varied range of vehicles with a steady, year-round workload. You will work to manufacturer standards, carrying out engine diagnostics and repair tasks such as timing chain replacements and head gasket work, with the opportunity to complete full engine swap/replacement jobs where required.
Benefits for the Successful Vehicle Technician:
Basic salary £38,000 to £45,000 depending on experience and skillset
Full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 18:00
Optional Saturday overtime available when required, paid at 1.50x overtime rate
20 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Stable, fleet-focused workload in a modern workshop
Specialist engine work, including timing chains and head gaskets, with opportunity to complete full engine replacement workDuties:
Diagnose and troubleshoot engine faults to an accurate standard
Repair and replace engine components, including timing chains and head gaskets
Carry out full engine swap/replacement work to a high standard
Complete work efficiently while maintaining quality and accuracy
Work in line with manufacturer guidance and adhere to workshop standardsRequirements for the Vehicle Technician Role:
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or in an engine-focused diagnostic role
Strong diagnostic skills with confidence in diagnosing and repairing engine faults
Experience with timing chain issues, head gasket repairs, and engine replacement work
Professional and reliable approach, with pride in workmanship
