Vetro Recruitment are recruiting Children’s Residential Support Workers for children’s homes in Newport, providing consistent, compassionate support to children and young people in care.

Hours and Pay

* Pay: £14.24 - £26.76 per hour inclusive of holiday pay

* Hours: Flexible pattern available, choose the shifts you want every week, including 12-hour shifts (days, nights, and sleep in’s available)

Key Responsibilities

* Provide support to children and young people with day-to-day activities and interests

* Promote independence and wellbeing within the home

* Support weekends away, holidays, and trips alongside the team in Newport

* Attend weekend and evening activities to support interests and routines

* Protect children and young people from risks to health and welfare

* Deliver emotional and practical support within the residential setting

* Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines to support safety

* Support, prevent, and de-escalate incidents when behaviour can be challenging

What You’ll Need

* A desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people

* Empathetic, caring, and resilient approach

* At least 6 months experience working with children, or within a similar social care environment

* A valid UK driving licence

* Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to obtain one

* The right to work in the UK
