The main duties include the responsibility for the following:
• Inspection of PCBAs to IPC-A-610 standards up to Class 3
• Testing of PCBs using customer supplied test equipment and specification
• Ensuring that customer specifications have been adhered to
• Accurately diagnose faults and liaise with production team to improve future quality
• Creation of Inspection reports suitable for end customers
• Some assembly support and final assembly duties may be required
• Continuous improvement of the department
• Operation of Inspection and assembly equipment (training will be given)
The ideal candidate for this role should have the following skills & qualifications:
AS9100 - IPC CLASS3 PREFERRABLE
• In depth knowledge of PCB assembly, both SMT and Conventional
• Hand soldering skills and minor repair skills
• Interpret engineering drawings, BOMs and other customer data
• Previous inspection and assembly experience
• Computer literate with a good level of English
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Knowledge of PCB test methods and fault finding
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
• Knowledge of AOI systems - Desirable
• Rework Skills - Desirable
• IPC-A-610 accreditation -Desirable
