A well‑established main contractor with a turnover exceeding £100m is recruiting a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team. This role is ideal for A Level students, school leavers or recent graduates looking to start a long‑term career in Quantity Surveying through a fully supported Degree Apprenticeship.
The Role
The Trainee Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial team across live projects while studying for a Quantity Surveying degree. The position offers hands‑on experience in both site and office environments with mentoring from an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor.
Key responsibilities include:
• Assisting with cost planning and budgeting
• Supporting subcontractor procurement
• Assisting with valuations and financial reporting
• Learning contract administration and commercial processes
• Supporting senior team members on regional projects
Requirements:
• A Level student, school leaver or recent graduate
• Strong interest in construction and Quantity Surveying
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to completing a degree and developing professionally
