Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded specialist secondary setting in Enfield to recruit several dedicated Learning Support Assistants for September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for passionate and resilient individuals who are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The school caters for students aged 11-19 and provides a nurturing, structured environment where relationships, wellbeing and personal development are at the heart of everything they do. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential.
The Role:
Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
Building strong, trusting relationships with students
Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom
Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff and external professionalsWe Are Looking For Candidates Who:
Have experience working with children or young people, ideally within education, youth work, care, mentoring or support settings
Are calm, patient and able to build positive relationships
Have a genuine interest in supporting students with SEMH needs
Can remain resilient and professional in challenging situations
Are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people
Have strong communication and teamwork skillsPrevious experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
SEMH or SEN schools
Alternative Provision settings
Youth work
Behaviour mentoring
Sports coaching
Residential care
