Long Term Futures is seeking a confident, resilient and proactive Behaviour Mentor to support pupils across Year 5 and Year 6 in a welcoming Haringey primary school.
This is a rewarding and varied role for someone who thrives on building strong relationships and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning. The successful candidate will support pupils with ASD, behavioural needs and cognition & learning difficulties, providing consistency, encouragement and structure throughout the school day.
The school is particularly keen to appoint someone with a calm, positive presence who can engage pupils through shared interests, active learning and strong relationship-building.

About the Role
Working closely with class teachers and the SENCo, your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting pupils with ASD and behavioural needs across KS2
* Managing incidents of verbal and physical dysregulation using calm and consistent strategies
* Building positive relationships and acting as a trusted adult within the school environment
* Supporting pupils to remain engaged during lessons and transitions
* Working with Year 6 pupils with EHCPs and cognition & learning needs during targeted afternoon sessions
* Encouraging confidence, resilience and independence
* Promoting positive behaviour through structure, routine and clear expectations
* Supporting participation in classroom activities, learning tasks and wider school life
This role requires someone who can remain composed under pressure while maintaining a positive and encouraging approach.

Ideal Candidate Profile
* Experience supporting pupils with ASD, SEMH or behavioural needs
* Confident managing challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner
* Resilient, energetic and able to build strong rapport with KS2 pupils
* Comfortable supporting pupils with additional learning needs and EHCPs
* Background in education, youth work, mentoring, sports coaching or behaviour support welcomed
* Committed to a long-term role from September
