Prime Appointments are working with a leading global engineering and manufacturing business that supplies innovative electronic solutions into the Aerospace, Defence, Space, Medical and Industrial sectors. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Production Engineer - Electronics to support manufacturing operations, drive process improvements and resolve complex production issues.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer, Production Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer or NPI Engineer looking to join a highly respected organisation working on technically advanced products.

The Role
As a Production Engineer, you will provide technical support to manufacturing operations, identify and resolve production issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, efficiency and productivity.
Duties
* Carry out component-level fault finding and diagnostics on electronic assemblies
* Support production and supply chain teams with technical queries and corrective actions
* Investigate recurring manufacturing issues and implement permanent solutions
* Create and maintain SOPs, manufacturing documentation and standard operating times
* Support production line balancing and process optimisation activities
* Complete FMEA reviews, control plans and risk assessments
* Ensure products are designed and manufactured in line with DFM and DFA principles
* Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and engineering change activities
* Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement projects
The Person
* Degree qualified in Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline
* Previous experience within electronics manufacturing, production engineering or test engineering
* Strong component-level fault-finding and root cause analysis skills
* Knowledge of electronic, electrical and mechanical assembly processes
* Experience of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 8D, A3 or similar problem-solving methodologies
* Familiarity with ERP or SAP systems and manufacturing documentation
* Knowledge of RF testing, high-voltage electronics or encapsulation processes would be advantageous
* Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
