SEN Teacher - ASD Specialist School - Beckton - September Start - Full Time - M1 to M3 Pay Scale
Are you a teacher looking for a genuine long-term SEN role within a supportive specialist school?
Remedy Education are working with a welcoming ASD specialist school in Beckton who are looking for an SEN Teacher to join them from September.
This is a full-time role in a lovely specialist setting with a strong and supportive leadership team. The school are looking for a teacher on the M1 to M3 pay scale who is passionate about autism, SEN and helping pupils make meaningful progress.
The exact class has not yet been confirmed, so there is some flexibility depending on the successful teacher's experience, strengths and interests. The school are open to speaking with experienced SEN Teachers, ASD Teachers or mainstream teachers who are genuinely committed to moving into specialist education.
The Role:
Teaching pupils with autism and additional needs
Planning and delivering adapted lessons
Creating a calm, structured and engaging classroom environment
Working closely with support staff and the wider SEN team
Using visual supports, communication strategies and personalised approaches
Supporting pupils with learning, communication, emotional regulation and independence
Building positive relationships with pupils, staff and familiesThe Successful Teacher Will:
Hold QTS
Have experience or a strong interest in SEN and autism
Be patient, nurturing, calm and resilient
Be confident adapting lessons to meet individual needs
Understand the importance of routine, structure and consistency
Work well as part of a supportive team
