Support Pupils to Succeed in a Thriving KS2 Environment

Aspire People are working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Widnes that is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 2.

This welcoming school prides itself on creating a positive learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils with a range of learning needs, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role
Provide targeted support to pupils in KS2 through one-to-one and small group interventions.
Assist children with additional learning needs, including SEND, speech and language difficulties, and social and emotional needs.
Support the delivery of engaging lessons and classroom activities.
Help pupils build confidence, resilience, and independence in their learning.
Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers on pupil development.
Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies where appropriate.

About You
Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, youth work, or support setting.
A patient, adaptable, and caring approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Must be able to provide professional references and be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check if required.
