Teaching Assistant – Widnes

Start Date: September 2026

Thrive Education is currently recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming Primary School in Widnes from September 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school environment, working within a Junior class and supporting pupils across the curriculum. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping children achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

The Role

* Supporting teaching and learning within a Junior class

* Delivering small group interventions and classroom support

* Working closely with the class teacher to support pupil progress

* Supporting phonics development where required

* Creating a positive and engaging learning environment

Essential Requirements

* Previous experience working within a school setting

* Strong knowledge and understanding of Little Wandle Phonics

* A positive, proactive and nurturing approach

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills

* Ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
