Job Title: HLTALocation:Area: Anfield Pay: £100+ per day
Job DescriptionHays Education are working with a mainstream school based in Allerton who are seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join them on a full-time basis.The role will involve:
Deliver high-quality learning activities to individuals, groups, and whole classes in the absence of the teacher
Provide targeted support to pupils, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND)
Support pupils to access the curriculum and participate fully in classroom activities
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement targets from EHCPs, IEPs, and support plans
Plan, prepare, and adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs
Assess, record, and report on pupils' progress and attainment
Support communication, language development, and social interaction
Promote emotional wellbeing, self-regulation, and positive behaviour strategies
Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
Previous Experience Required
HLTA qualification or equivalent relevant experience
Previous experience leading learning activities within a classroom environment
Experience working with children with SEN in mainstream or specialist settings
