Role: Infrastructure Support Engineer
Location: Gloucestershire (Hybrid – weekly office visits + client travel)
Salary: Up to £40,000 + Bonus

Our client, a leading organisation in the education IT services sector, is hiring an Infrastructure Support Engineer to deliver high-quality technical support and infrastructure expertise across a growing client base.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of helpdesk delivery while working on a wide range of modern infrastructure technologies, supporting both day-to-day operations and strategic projects.
What you’ll do
Provide 2nd/3rd line remote support to client IT teams
Deliver onsite and remote project engineering across infrastructure environments
Support and manage firewalls, networks, servers, and cloud platforms
Conduct technical assessments and contribute to infrastructure roadmaps
Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues
You’ll work closely with internal teams, client stakeholders, and IT managers to ensure a consistently high standard of service and delivery.
What we’re looking for
Strong 2nd/3rd line experience across networking, firewalls, and Windows Server
Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, routing, and subnetting
Experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID
Background working within an ITIL-aligned Service Desk environment
Proven ability to deliver onsite and client-facing engineering support
