Salary: £45,000–£50,000 Basic + Bonus (OTE £60,000)

The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Aftersales Manager to join a busy and successful automotive dealership in Basildon. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving performance across the Service and Parts departments, improving customer satisfaction, and maximising aftersales profitability.
You will lead a team of Service Advisors, Technicians, and Parts staff, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the aftersales operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, and develop the aftersales team.
* Oversee the daily operation of Service and Parts departments.
* Drive workshop efficiency, utilisation, and labour sales.
* Maximise aftersales revenue and departmental profitability.
* Monitor and improve customer satisfaction (CSI) scores.
* Manage departmental KPIs and implement performance improvement plans.
* Handle escalated customer complaints professionally.
* Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and dealership processes.
* Control costs and manage departmental budgets effectively.
* Work closely with senior management to achieve business objectives.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
* Previous experience as an Aftersales Manager, Service Manager, or Senior Service Leader.
* Strong leadership and people management skills.
* Proven track record of achieving aftersales targets and KPIs.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Strong commercial and financial awareness.
* Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
* Main dealer or franchise dealership experience.
* Manufacturer standards and audit experience.
* Familiarity with dealer management systems (DMS).
