Academics is recruiting for a full-time SEN Support Assistant to work on a one-to-one basis with a Key Stage 2 pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Brighton.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to a child's educational journey, providing tailored support to help them access learning, develop social skills, and build confidence both inside and outside the classroom.
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team, you will play an important role in implementing strategies that meet the individual needs of the pupil and promote their independence and progress.
The successful candidate will:
* Have experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or additional learning needs
* Be patient, understanding, and adaptable in their approach
* Demonstrate strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Be committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Work effectively as part of a collaborative school team
