Maintenance Technician

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Technician to join a busy and fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering multi-skilled maintenance support to ensure the efficient operation of plant and equipment, minimising downtime and maintaining high safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out fault finding, diagnostics, and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment
Provide reactive maintenance support, including rapid response to breakdowns
Undertake planned preventative maintenance to optimise equipment reliability
Repair or replace faulty components and assemblies
Perform routine servicing of plant equipment including motors, valves, and systems
Assist with installation, commissioning, and improvement of equipment
Monitor plant performance and identify potential faults or inefficiencies
Interpret technical drawings and schematics to support troubleshooting
Carry out welding and fabrication tasks as required
Maintain maintenance records and manage spare parts inventory
Ensure all work is completed in line with site Health & Safety procedures, permits, and risk assessments Requirements
Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role (mechanical and electrical)
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
Welding/fabrication experience
Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Proactive approach with strong attention to detail
Basic IT skills
Flexible attitude to working hours, including occasional weekends
Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces
Full adherence to safe systems of work and PPE requirements Desirable
Previous experience supervising maintenance activities Benefits
