Are you a passionate Music Teacher looking to inspire the next generation of performers, composers and musicians?
We are currently recruiting for a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Shrewsbury. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a creative and ambitious department that encourages students to develop their musical skills, confidence and appreciation for music across a range of genres and styles.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging Music lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop both practical and theoretical knowledge while fostering a love for the subject.
The Role
* Teach Music across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire student participation and achievement.
* Support students in developing performance, composition and listening skills.
* Prepare students for GCSE Music examinations where applicable.
* Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
* Contribute to extracurricular activities, including concerts, performances and music clubs.
The Ideal Candidate
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching Music within a secondary school setting.
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for music education.
* Ability to engage and motivate learners of varying abilities.
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
* ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply
