Description

Support the delivery of category objectives aligned to the wider procurement strategy
Contribute to category and product group strategies to improve supply chain performance, reduce risk, and create competitive advantage
Analyse product ranges and routes to market to maximise value for customers and the organisation
Produce accurate reports by gathering and analysing data from multiple sources
Monitor market trends, innovations, and supplier developments to support decision-making
Support new product launches through insights into industry and consumer trends
Collate and analyse key data including cost drivers, market dynamics, and supplier options
Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Deliver high-quality customer service, resolving complex queries and identifying opportunities to add valueProfile

A successful Category Manager should have:

Proven experience running end to end procurement within public sector.
Knowledge of PA23 and proven experience using the new regulations.
A strong understanding of category management principles and practices.
Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
Ideally experience with Hard FM, ICT and other indirects.
Excellent analytical skills to interpret market data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities.
Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.Job Offer

This Interim Category Manager role is 6 months, offering a brilliant opportunity to support in the shaping of the evolving team. They operate a hybrid model, with 2 days working onsite. Competitive day rate on offer, aligned to experience and market conditions
