SMS is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our established quality team, working in a three shift rotation at our Newton Aycliffe site. We’re looking for a process-driven individual with a passion for the automotive industry, who takes pride in ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Responsibilities:

* Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspections of automotive parts and assemblies using work instructions and measurement tools.

* Ensure all products meet required specifications and quality standards.

* Maintain accurate inspection records and report any non-conformances to the quality control team.

* Work within strict company and customer policies and procedures to maintain quality and compliance.

Requirements:

* Confident, enthusiastic, and proactive.

* Previous experience within a manufacturing or Quality position is desirable but not essential.

* Punctual and dependable.

* A strong communicator with excellent attention to detail.

* Self-motivated and able to follow processes accurately.

Working Hours:

Day shift - 7am - 3pm £14 per hour

Back shift - 3pm - 11pm £16.24 per hour

Night shift - 11pm - 7am £18.20 per hour
