EHC Writer
We are looking for experienced and detail-focused EHC Writers to support our SEND service with the completion and amendment of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
This role will primarily focus on updating and amending existing EHCPs, ensuring plans are accurate, compliant, and of a high standard. While the work is not considered highly complex, it requires strong attention to detail, excellent written communication skills, and a clear understanding of what constitutes a good-quality EHCP.
Key Responsibilities
Draft and amend EHCPs in line with statutory requirements and SEND Code of Practice
Ensure plans are clear, person-centred, accurate, and outcome-focused
Work closely with SEND professionals to ensure all advice and recommendations are accurately reflected within plans
Maintain high standards of quality and consistency across all documentation
Meet statutory timescales and service expectations
About You
Experience writing or amending EHCPs within a local authority or SEND environment
Strong understanding of SEND legislation and EHCP requirements
Excellent written skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage workload effectively and work to deadlines
Strong organisational and communication skills
